To reduce the pH value and the carbonate hardness, add up to 25 ml per 100 litres of aquarium water. Repeat every two to three days until the desired KH is reached. This treatment method will reduce KH by approx. 2° dH per dosage. During treatment, aerate the water and do not add CO2. Test the water regularly to ensure that the carbonate hardness does not fall below 2° to 4° dH, otherwise the pH value may fall to a dangerous level. Long term dosage for gradual reduction: Add 5 ml per 100 litres of aquarium water every two to three days. This will reduce KH by approx. 0.4° dH per dosage. Regular treatment ensures that KH is gradually and permanently reduced.
